Annie Martin’s moss book is nothing short of fantastic! I highly recommend it to anyone who is even vaguely interested in moss. Mossin’ Annie she knows her stuff and does a fine job of making mosses accessible to everyone. I own several moss books and this is my all-time favorite and the book I go to first for assistance.The book is superbly illustrated with photographs of moss on nearly every page. It is the best-illustrated moss book on the market. And the photos are beautiful! There are a number of pictures of how to use moss in the garden, a section of some famous Japanese moss gardens, and a delightful introduction to 25 common mosses. And the photos are large enough to provide the detail that the reader needs to become familiar with the moss.It’s easy to follow Annie Martin’s step-by-step tutorials on how to design, plant, and care for moss in the garden. Importantly she goes into detail about steps you need to take to determine where moss will grow well in your garden. My husband and I really enjoyed following her suggestions for assessing our yard and were delighted to locate moss that is already growing on our property. I bought the book this winter (I live in Michigan) and using this book we have already started two small gardens in different locations on our property. And we have just begun!

I have always loved the look of moss and now after being inspired by this awesome book I can't wait to get started incorporating moss into my garden. As a master gardener I love trying new things. The internet is full of misinformation on how to get moss growing. I always thought it was a bogus idea blending moss with buttermilk among other things, Annie agrees this is not a way to get moss started. She definitely knows her moss and I love watching her YouTube videos. I was so excited finding out she wrote a book. It's so fun to look for moss and now I know you can plant it any day of the year! A thorough book that allows even a beginner gardener to start mossin'. I bought this to start adding a moss component to my shady medicinal garden - I wanted info on how to start actually propagating moss rather than just waiting and hoping it shows up - and Annie Martin's book didn't disappoint. After reading it, I came away excited and ready to jump right in and start moss gardening!

Our lawn is going to moss. It is greener, stays greener all season, than our grass ever did. Helped in identifying the several types of moss growing now and how to spread or multiply its area, and take care of it. Glad we found and read this book. Whenever we asked our "spray and run" lawn service about moss, we just got blank stares and no comment. They would only say that we need to get rid of the moss and sod our lawn (very expensive and requires more "spray and run" chemicals). We have one side yard in 100% moss (very shading there) and it is great. The other side is now in process, but may take a year or so -- kind of letting nature do much of the work.

So bought this book and showed it to my sister, and she took it! Then she showed it to a good friend, and the friend took it! Who knows where my original book went - out to the mossin' yonder. This is a great primer for moss lawn enthusiasts. Annie Martin's love of moss gardening is evident in her poetic style of writing. As a beginning moss grower I gleaned many useful tips for expanding my moss patches to eventually form a lawn area.

I got this book because I found a small tuff of moss growing on a brick in my weedy garden, It looked like a mini carpet of green so I was interested in learning more. Very educational and I like to attempted to grow a small batch in a glass tank.

I wish I had found this months ago - it would have likely saved a relationship that was very important to me and my now-ex-boyfriend. There is so much I want to say about this very valuable book and will add more to this review soon. I just wanted to take a minute to HIGHLY recommend this to any couple of any age, as well as any individual person of any age. Dr. Stan Tatkin's experience, research, and knowledge is essential, in my opinion, in order to redirect our social culture's "bandwagon" following of pop media, New Age philosophy, and modern therapy. While I don't have an aversion to pop media or New Age philosophy, I have become increasingly skeptical and worried over recent years with regard to the ubiquity of Love Yourself First, Individualism vs Interconnections, and the misuse of Codependency at the cost of healthy interdependence. As a former teacher, I am aware of the demands on our schools to include more and more curricula with less time and less attention from students. With that awareness, I feel THIS information NEEDS to be presented to high school students, via science (or other domain). It would be the most valuable knowledge they would carry into adulthood for establishing healthy, content relationships with family, friends, co-workers, and of course with growing a long-term romantic relationship.

I have purchased 4 sets of this CD series (3 gifs I purchased after I bought my first one) and have recommended it to many others. I wishI I had this information years ago, but glad I have it now. There are several things I learned about myself and others: how early attachment styles affect relationships, what are skills some people just don't have, how processing speed challenges a relationship, how to keep fight/disagreements short and non-threatening...Dr. Tatkin's style of teaching is easy to listen to. I have listened to this set several times now and plan to listen more. He also makes good suggestions for people who are at the first of an "in love" situation since he stresses being in love is the brain "being on a drug."

I am a fan and follower of Dr. Tatkin's research and couple's therapy approach. This set of CD's parallels and expands on information in his book, Wired for Love. His extemporaneous style of talking sometimes diverts attention from a core principle and makes it less clear, less easily understood. Since I had read his book and follow his blogs I knew where he was going and could enjoy the journey.

Excellent. My husband and I both listened to it during a long drive. He was reticent initially but then thought it was well worth listening to together. It allowed us to have some good conversations. I plan to buy it for my married children for Valentines Day.
